Wizard World Chicago

I was at Wizard World Chicago this past weekend. I was at Mason Jonson's table, he's the writer that I am working with on a western themed comic called Bang! WE submitted it to a few publishers and I had some review my portfolio. Here is the five-page preview of the comic:












While I was down I met Liana K from the Ed the Sock show, she's "red". She's really nice and we talked about me possibly doing some work on the comic. I hedged my bet by doing a sketch of the lovely Liana, here's the unfinished version:

Business Card

I'm still working away on my Old West Comic, I will post pages from it soon. In the meantime I recently created and got my first business cards printed! Here's a preview of the card.



I got it printed just in time for the Chicago Comic Con that I will be attending on the 26th of June.

Drawing from Life

I've been going to a life drawing studio over the past few weeks. I used to go pretty regularily but about 2 years ago I stopped going to it. I decided to start again and have really been enjoying it. Here are some samples from the last few sessions.

Just some sketches

Well it's been a while since I posted anything, sorry about that. I doubt I have anyone who really looks at mystuff on a regular basis.

Here are a couple of recent sketches I did. the first is of Power Girl, I found a site that had all these Power Girl sketches and it inspired me to do my own:
Then someone on the Drawingboard.org posted a link to a weird Spanish movie from the sixties called La Mujer Murcielago, the Batwoman. He had done sketch of the main heroine and I did my own version.


Finally, I did a picture of the Ghost Who Walks, the Phantom, for a coworker friend of mine.




I'm really happy how all these turned out, especially the last two.

Dominia the Barbarian?

Maybe she's Conan's sister? I don't know. Just a pic i finished recently. I will ink and colour it eventually, so stay tuned to this Blog-space!

I haven't had as much time as I would like to work on my art. Hopefully I will have more time now.

More Concepts

These are for the new comic project I'm working on.

First up is another picture of Tigerus Alpha, a full body shot this time. So far I think it's coming out ok.

This next one is Sirin, I don't like the clothes so will probably redesign them.

Finally, Ogre, a good-natured brute who can't stand seeing innocents get hurt.
